A School in Nairobi seeks a talented and versatile IT and Media Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and editing the website, providing IT troubleshooting, creating engaging graphic designs, handling photoshoots, editing videos, and crafting dynamic social media content such as Instagram Reels.
Additionally, the candidate should be committed and comfortable working with children during school activities such as sports, trips, walks, hikes, and excursions. We are seeking a male candidate to enhance diversity and offer balanced support to our students during such events.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Maintenance & Editing: Manage and update the school's WordPress website, ensuring that content is up-to-date and visually appealing.
Graphics Design: Create visually compelling graphics for the school's online presence, including newsletters, website, and social media using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
Photoshoots & Video Production: Organize and conduct photoshoots and video shoots for school events, capturing moments that showcase the school's vibrant community.
Video Editing: Edit and produce high-quality videos for promotional purposes, school events, and social media platforms.
Social Media Content Creation: Design engaging content, including Instagram Reels and other social media posts, to highlight school activities and achievements.
IT Troubleshooting: Provide basic IT support and troubleshooting for the school, including assistance with classroom technology, hardware, software, and network issues.
Event Participation: Accompany students on trips, walks, hikes, and excursions, capturing memories while ensuring the safety and engagement of the children.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in WordPress for website management and editing.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) for graphic design and video editing.
Experience with Canva for easy and fast design creation.
Strong photography and videography skills, including conducting photoshoots and video production.
Ability to produce and edit engaging videos for social media platforms.
Experience in IT troubleshooting, with the ability to support classroom technology and resolve basic technical issues.
Comfort and enthusiasm for working with children in outdoor and educational settings.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.
Previous experience in a school or educational setting is a plus.
