If you missed your chance, here's another! Due to popular demand, Starhouse Amateur Theatre Company is extending our digital auditions for Queen Alice! That's right, you and your theatre-loving friends can still participate in our fabulously far out new musical but act soon! Auditions are only open until May 24 at 11:59pm, PST.

Queen Alice is a full-length musical adaptation of Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. This musical transforms the source material into a queer coming-of-age story, following an Alice who sets out to become a queen. On the way, Alice meets characters inspired by queer history, from the 1930s Weimar cabaret scene to 60s and 70s performance art, drag, and ballroom culture. In keeping with its queer street theatre roots, the score draws on the psychedelic sounds of San Francisco of the 1960s.

We are seeking actors and performers of all genders, ages 18-30 (though we're willing to make some slight exceptions here), and musicians and other crew and personnel of all ages. Queen Alice will be performed in San Jose at the end of August. Rehearsals will take place in the bay area through the summer based on actor availability.
