Looking for young actor for film

CASTING CALL

We're looking for one young male character to film a short in LA on OCT 2-3 and OCT 9-10.

Mikey (8-12): Mikey is a timid, very silent, but curious boy that enjoys cooking recipes. He comes from a broken home where he is neglected by his drug-abusing mother. He avoids eye contact. He has difficulty communicating and exhibiting his feelings, and is hyper attentive to particular stimuli. To be clear, Mikey has Asperger's syndrome, and is therefore on the autistic spectrum. Our goal is to represent the syndrome dutifully and with respect, so the inclusion of an actor that actually has Asperger's syndrome or highly functioning autism is welcome and encouraged!
